About Me

I figured I'd put an "About Me" page in here. I don't know if it's necessary, especially since most of the people that read this are my friends and family, but just in case anyone stumbles upon this masterpiece, here's a little all about me.

My name is Kirsten Berghout.

I'm an aspiring author, and future social worker.
I want to make the world a better place.

If I can make you laugh just once I think I've accomplished what I set out to do.

I know I'm not the best writer.

Someday I'll write a book, probably anonymously. It will be a work of art and no one will know it was mine.

But for now I'm just living my live here in Utah, doing what normal people do.
I married the absolute love of my life and my best friend in the entire world, Matt Berghout, on May 24, 2014. Matt and I are getting the hang of the whole marriage thing, one happy day at a time, and I can't imagine what life would be like without him.

My husband, my family, and my friends are the reason I live. Which is why I talk about them a lot in this blog. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (yes, I'm Mormon, and love everything about it), which will also come up frequently in my posts, because my religion holds me together. If you're offended by this.. sorry, my blog, you can leave. 

If I had to describe myself I would take a few words from two of my favorite songs, both by Blink-182: I'm "unstoppable, unpredictable", "a bit shy and a little bit manic".  I'm charmingly sarcastic, and will probably come across as very confident in myself at times, but don't let that deceive you. The name of this blog comes from J.K. Rowling's fantastic Harry Potter series, and I'll give credit where credit is due. So feel free to follow along, and see if I actually ever get into mischief that needs to be managed. Probably not, but hey, maybe someday.
